1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using REMOTESTERS, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.

2. What REMOTESTERS Is

REMOTESTERS is a marketplace connecting QA testing professionals with employers (companies hiring QA talent) and clients (individuals or businesses posting testing gigs). We are not the employer of QA Testers, nor a party to the working arrangement between users — we provide the platform, verification, and payment infrastructure that connects them.

3. Accounts and Identity Verification

You must provide accurate information when registering. QA Testers and External Individuals are required to complete identity verification (NIN, a government-issued ID, and live selfie capture) before applying to jobs/gigs or posting projects. Submitting false identity information is grounds for permanent account suspension.

Operating more than one account, or attempting to bypass identity verification to do so, is prohibited.

4. Payments

Funds owed to QA Testers for completed work are processed through the platform's payment system. Withdrawal is available to any verified user in good standing; verification status and any applicable fees are shown in your dashboard before you withdraw.

5. Acceptable Use

• Do not misrepresent your identity, skills, or experience.
• Do not use the platform to solicit work or payment outside agreed channels in a way that circumvents platform safeguards.
• Before a job/gig application is accepted, do not share phone numbers, personal email addresses, or invite another user to a third-party messaging app (such as WhatsApp or Telegram) to continue the conversation off-platform. Moving a discussion off REMOTESTERS before a hire is confirmed removes our fraud protections and is a common pattern in off-platform payment scams. Once a job/gig is accepted, you are free to exchange contact details.
• Do not upload false documents or attempt to defraud another user.

REMOTESTERS uses automated systems to detect messages matching the pattern above before a hire is confirmed. A detected message is not blocked, but may be flagged for review by our team, and the sender may see an on-platform safety notice.

6. Suspension and Termination

We may suspend or terminate an account that violates these terms, including for identity-verification fraud, duplicate accounts, or abuse of other users. A decision to suspend or terminate an account is made by our team after reviewing the relevant activity — including messages flagged by the automated system described in Section 5 — not automatically by that system itself. Where possible, you will be notified of the reason.

7. Disclaimers

The platform is provided "as is." REMOTESTERS does not guarantee the quality, legality, or outcome of any job, gig, or engagement between users, and is not liable for disputes arising directly between users.

8. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms as the platform evolves. Continued use of REMOTESTERS after a change means you accept the updated terms.
